Straight from the stage of NPR’s wonderfully funny weekly quiz show “Wait, Wait...Don’t Tell Me,” Roy Blount, Jr. will entertain and regale the Salisbury Forum audience with his unique style of American storytelling. Roy has been compared to Mark Twain and James Thurber. Time Magazine placed Roy “in the tradition of the great curmudgeons like H. L. Mencken and W. C. Fields.” He is the author of 24 books on humor, history, food, football, the South, the Marx Brothers, Robert E. Lee, and men and women. His essays, articles, and poems have appeared in over 170 publications, including The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and Gourmet.
