Kurt Andersen: American Inflection Points: 1980 and 2020

Kurt Andersen's brand new book is Evil Geniuses: The Unmaking of America: A Recent History, a companion volume to his prize-winning 2017 New York Times bestseller Fantasyland: How America Went Haywire: A 500-Year History. He is also the author of the critically acclaimed bestselling novels True Believers, Heyday, Turn of the Century and (with Alec Baldwin), You Can't Spell America Without Me.

He recently retired as host of public radio's Peabody Award winning arts and culture show Studio 360, a program he co-created 20 years ago. He co-founded Spy magazine, served as editor-in-chief of New York magazine and as a columnist and critic forTime, New York and The New Yorker. He contributes regularly to The Atlantic, Vanity Fair and The New York Times, and writes for television and the stage as well.
