Nicole Perlroth: "The Cyberweapons Arms Race"

Nicole Perlroth covers cybersecurity and digital espionage for The New York Times. She has covered Russian hacks of nuclear plants, the power grid, airports, and elections, North Korea's cyberattacks against movie studios, banks and hospitals, Iranian attacks on oil companies and dam operators and hundreds of Chinese cyberattacks, including a months-long hack of The Times. She is the best-selling author of This Is How They Tell Me The World Ends about the global cyber arms race, and a producer of the forthcoming FX series based on her work.

In her Salisbury Forum presentation, she focuses on “the untold story of the cyber arms market-- the most secretive, invisible, government-backed market on earth and a look into a new kind of global warfare.“

A Bay Area native, Ms. Perlroth is a graduate of Princeton University and Stanford University, and is a frequent guest lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
